When I write
I often name you the sun
For being bright and large
And I always name myself the moon
For being dull and small
And reflecting you

So

Dear Sun,
I feel that sometimes we have a confusing relationship. I obviously seem to need you for light and other various things, but I'm just a boring old hunk of rock held in orbit around this happy blue and green planet. If there was anyone that needed you more than I did, it's definitely her. I mean, without your warmth, light, and support, she'd be lost and not so 'alive' anymore, you know? I, on the other hand, am just stuck here, in the middle of it. So I don't mind if you look past me and tend to her. I mean, I didn't help or anything in the beginning, you know, before she housed life… of course, you probably wouldn't remember anyway. We were both so young.
    Best regards,
    Moon
P.S. The truth is, sometimes I think she may be using you so she can feed the happy living parts of herself. I mean, I'm okay with just your light and all to help guide me sometimes, but she would be completely and utterly lost without you, and therein, so would I. Too bad, though, that I lost my freedom a long time ago. I watched her burp up her flames of ash when she was an infant, and grow through lush puberty, which, by the way, came to an explosive halt the moment she lost her virginity. After that, she was scarred, and could not produce life. Now, as she continues on through her own life, she reaches out more than ever for a piggy-back ride, one that you've so willingly let her have for the past millions of years. Thanks for letting me tag a long too.
Wrote this last year.

Yes, it was about somebody.
